Nanomed (Nanomedicine for drug delivery)
Our Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Nanotechnologies applied to health.
This curriculum gathers 4 European Universities: Paris Descartes University (coordinator), University of Angers, France, Patras University, Greece, and Pavia University, Italy.
Nanomed is an original training 24-months Master’s course in English (4 semesters) in the field of nanomedicine applied to health through the delivery and vectorization of active molecules, offering a high quality and multidisciplinary education, this Master’s program aiming to develop the students’ competences in various fields (chemistry, biotechnology, physico-chemistry, biology, pharmacotechnology, pharmaceutical development …).
The BME PARIS master’s program is designed to provide a 2-year education program in the field of bioengineering, at the crossroad of biomedical and engineering sciences. It results from a partnership between Université Paris Descartes, Arts et Métiers ParisTech and Université PSL.
Based on this unique partnership, this master’s program is founded on an educational policy that favors interdisciplinarity and students’ initiative as well as international perspective. This policy is supported by the top-level and complementary expertise and know-how of the three partners: engineering science in the three engineering schools within PSL (Chimie ParisTech, ESPCI Paris and Mines ParisTech) and Arts et Métiers ParisTech, on the one hand, and biomedical and health science at Université Paris Descartes, on the other.
In M1, there is one single track, with individualized choices of courses according to students’ backgrounds.
The M2 (semesters 3 and 4) offers five tracks:
- Bioengineering and Innovation in Neurosciences (BIN)
- BioImaging (BIM)
- BioMaterials and Biodevices (BioMAT)
- BioMechanics (BioMECH)
- Molecular and cellular biotherapies (MCB)

Frontiers in Chemistry
This Master’s program is supported by high-level research laboratories with international reputation and network.
After completing the Master’s Degree, students can either look for a position in the industry as a junior executive or get into a PhD program. The main areas of economic activity targeted by the graduate students concerns the areas of chemistry (cosmetics, health, textiles, …), energy (photovolatics, fuel cells,…), environment (non-polluting materials, remediation,…), aeronautics (composites, surface treatments, …), vehicles (batteries, supercondensators, …) and buildings (thermally insulating coatings, …). Our Master’s program can also lead to positions and jobs not directly related to research such as consulting, patenting, scientific edition, and commercialization.
