Intensive Language and Civilization Course

Paris Descartes University offers a unique study environment in central Paris. Exchange students have access to a comprehensive support program to help them integrate as smoothly as possible.

In partnership with the association EIAP5 (International Exchange at Paris 5) and the Language Center, the university offers a transitional period that lets students explore their new environment through cultural tours around Paris and take French and civilization courses to help them learn about French culture.

Two sessions are available:

  • SEPTEMBER: open to students who are attending the university for a year and starting in the first semester (from September 1 to January 31).
  • JANUARY: open to students who are attending the university during the second semester (from February 1 to June 30).

Participation is free and only open to exchange students. Students will receive an enrollment link after their application has been approved.

I started my Eramus semester with an intensive French course. This program was a great learning opportunity and helped me integrate more smoothly. I met and got to know lots of students from many different nationalities and learn more about different customs and cultures. It was fascinating! This program helped me come out of my shell, become comfortable with life in Paris, and make the most out of my experience. Now, I can keep up with my classes and I have lot of French friends!
